"Im obsessively opposed to the typical"

Thanks to the stupid limit. 250 post might seem like a lot to people, but its not for me. Not when I find wonderful blogs and go on reblog sprees. Im also always adding stuff to my que, and thats now limited too. Im a night owl, so naturally I will spend a few hours a night reblogging or posting. This has become my ritual whether Im stuck at home due to sickness (which has been the case all semester) or whether im just having a bad night and need vent, inspiration and stress relief. Yes I am aware I have no social life, I am a college student who lives across the country from my home town. And rather than going to frat houses every weekend and getting into fights and drama with girls who are sloppy drunk or having some guy trying to get in my pants like I used to, Ive decided to quit with the self destructive behavior and focus on my studies this semester. Not to mention with classes like lakota language, there is ALWAYS something I need to study and memorize. So I always have to spend nights studying. Tumblr is my escape. I enjoy tumbling while I do my homework. (Im a multitasker, so whether its facebook, watching tv, tumblr or whatever I always feel like I have to be doing more than one thing at once. Multi tasking also makes doing homework more enjoyable. So I can go back and fourth when I need a mental break whether its when im memorizing flash cards of vocab for lakota language, reading for class, studying for an exam or writing an essay). I cant imagine how hard this limit is for people who have more than one blog on their page. Or for the tumblr famous people that get thousands of ask. I just dont understand why tumblr would do this to their loyal users. I cant stand the thought of being controlled. I thought this was the one place I could go, free of restrictions to always express myself and not feel like another sheep or cog in the machine. But no, tumblr wants to control everything too. Alot of people are going to just create multiple blogs in attempts of compensating for not being able to post.. so that kind of defeats the purpose of doing it to “make more server space”. Ive been thinking about it all day. Still cant decide if I want to go about posting as much as I can or to boycott tumblr all together. Obviously from the different emails and blogs Ive read the staff just doesnt give a fuck and plans for these changes to be permanent. Pretty soon tumblr will be changed completely and Ill end up having to give it up anyways. I feel betrayed. Bitch and judge me all you want, its not changing my opinion or the fact that my blogging experience is forever changed unless they change this shit. Almost makes me wish I never found tumblr. Im pissed off that Ive had the freedom of unlimited posting and now that is just taken away. Ive been wondering why the dash on my other blog has been so dead lately. I know most of the quality blogs I follow post way more than 250 post. And you know what I have never had a problem with that. Because I dont follow any blogs that I dont want to see on my dash, period. Just the principle of the matter, pisses me off. For a site that has promoted creativity, free thought and been so against censorship, you sure have made a complete 360. I guess if thats what the staff wants. For tumblr to become just as vapid and empty as myspace. Have at it. Im sure alot of the original users of tumblr are going to get fed up and stop using tumblr completely.
